Hi Bumble, for some reason I'm unable to actually read your diary but from the heading assume it includes some sort of discussion of that holy grail of English cricket, a really good wicketkeeper-batsman? How about arranging for Vikram Solanki to spend more time with the gloves on? He's done it before, so might be brought up to the necessary keeping standard quite easily - his batting abilities are already widely acknowledged. What do you think?

Is it possible to have a transcript of your podcast for the benefit of people like me who have a hearing impairment?
Thank you

Hi Mr.David I'm Sri Lankan , name is Graem. I would listen your commentary
that's quite strange, you're obviously among the world's best for sure.
You and Sir Geoff Boycott are quite special to me. By the way, I wanna
ask how you rate Sangakkara in the world

India_will_win - the coach you are talking about was Keith Fletcher, not David Lloyd. However the point about not underestimating India is valid!

You are one of my favorite commentators, very neutral and un-biased but I would like to warn England here on their India tour. Remember England's whitewash in 1993 when India came back after thrashing from South Africa and You were the coach then and you commented on Anil Kumble that he didn't turn the ball much. Well Kumble ended up with 21 wickets in the rubber, well supported by Raju and Chauhan and Azharuddin, Tendulkar, Kambli got big hundreds and rest is history. The only series in India in a long time when Indian middle order completely flopped was against Australia in 2004. England side has the ability to give India a good fight on Indian soil but it is hard to see Indian batsmen struggling against English attack on flat picthes but england batsmen will find it hard against Indian spinners.

I really like your commentary. I am overjoyed you now show on cricinfo. About wicket keeping, it seems many countries are struggling to find a international keeper. I really hope England will have settled on a good wicket by the time Ashes come.

thank you David for showing your love for Pakistan...
Please be there at Champions Trophy.
Talking about England's Wicket Keepers, you are quite much on the spot.

Bumble, I love your accent! We get this TV channel in India called BBC Entertainment and there's one show by name "New Tricks"...its about 4 retired cops who take on cold cases. One of the guys...his name in the show is Brian (real name Alun Armstrong)...he reminds me so much of you. I mean he's got your accent, maybe he is a little older, he looks very much like you. When I don't hear your commentary, Brian fills the gap!

I always enjoy your comments, straight as you see it and with a sense of humour.
England will struggle in the sub-continent, the bowlers particularly, they hardly troubled the SA when the pitches were flat. The big four of India are not likely to have a difficult time against them at home.
Keep up the good work.
